Spot Hollow Farm Products
At Spot Hollow Farm we offer handspun yarn, raw-skirted or washed fleeces, roving in a variety of colors (sometimes hand dyed, mostly natural colored), pelts, horns, skulls, lamb meat (and sometimes goat meat) and the occasional gallon of goats milk.
I also offer sheep shearing for small flocks (1-25 sheep), (I can occasionally be persuaded into shearing llamas as well as fiber goats). Along with the shearing I can also hoof trim, worm and give some shots.

Handspun yarn
Each skein of our yarn is lovingly processed by a local one-woman mill, from picking to spinning. Sheep are shorn (by me!) every spring, and the fleeces are sent to Chenango Wool Works for hand-processing. Although the turn-around time is not as quick as a machine mill, we appreciate the delicate touch and creativity a handspinner brings to our process.
Pricing varies based on weight and type of yarn.

Fleeces
Jacob fleeces are heavily skirted as they come of the sheep (because I do the shearing as well as the shepherding!). Washed fleeces may be available by request.
We tend to make roving out of most of our fleeces so if you would like a raw or washed fleece you must request that in advance. We tend to shear in March or April.
Price varies based on fleece quality and quantity (average is $10-$25 per lb).
