Other Breeds
In addition to our purebred Jacobs, we also have a small commercial crossbred flock. Our commercial flock is built primarily on a pair of Cornell FinnXDorset ewes and their part Jacob descendants, as well as some outside pure Finn, Cheviot and Cotswold genetics.

Bridget comes from the flock of the man who developed the Cornell STARR lambing system (5 times a year, with each ewe lambing 3 times in 2 years). In addition to lambing 5 times a year, the flock is also maintained almost exclusively on pasture and is thus very hardy. Bridget lambed with twins as a first timer in March of 2014, and then lambed again with twin ewes in early December of 2014 (shown) - a pretty good start to her breeding career!
